About the Blog

Trying to read the Bible is a hard enough task in and of itself, but trying to read the entire Bible in a year may seem impossible.  There are two basic reasons for this: 1) It is difficult for us to cultivate the discipline to do something every day, even if it’s just a few minutes, and 2) Reading the bible is no small task, sometimes it may seem tedious and at other times we may not like what the Bible has to say.

It is for these reasons that we have decided to create the MetroBibleBlog.  We want you to know that you are not in it alone.  There are others here to spur you along in your journey through God’s word.  And this is a space for accountability and learning.

Please use this blog to ask the questions you have about the Bible.  Whether it’s as common as “Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?” or an obscure inquiry concerning interpretation, we are here to help you.  Depending on the influx of emails, we may not be able to answer every question as it comes up, but we will do our best.

There may be disagreements along the way, as well as differences of opinions.  All that we ask is that your comments be courteous and respectful of all parties.

Thanks for joining this community,

Stephen Sharkey, Pastor of Life Ministries
